The third FTA Multimodal Awards, staged on April 4th in the Vox

Conference Centre at the NEC, attended by over 800 guests,

recognised and rewarded excellence in air, road, rail and maritime

services. This year the Awards were hosted by iconic England Test

cricketer David Gower, OBE. The proud winners on the night were:

Rail Freight Operator of the Year:

Freightliner.

Air Cargo Operator of the Year:

Virgin Atlantic Cargo.

Sea Freight Operator of the Year:

Mediterranean Shipping

Company (MSC).

Road Freight Operator of the Year:

Maritime Transport.

Port Operator of the Year:

DPWorld Southampton.

3PL of the Year:

DSV Road.

Logistics Carbon Reduction Scheme (LCRS) Leadership in

Carbon Reduction Award:

Howden’s Joinery.

The FTA Contribution to Environmental Sustainability Award in

partnership withMultimodal:

John Lewis Partnership.

Innovation in Infrastructure Award:

Peel Ports Group.

The Young Logistics Professional of the Year:

Beth O’Neill,

Howard Tenens.

The Commercial Boat Operators Association (CBOA) Award for

Excellence:

Exol Lubricants.

Multimodal Exhibitor of the Year:

Dachser.

Multimodal Personality of the Year:

John Smith, GB Railfreight.

Robert Jervis, Logistics Portfolio Director of Clarion Events, summed

up the thoughts of many: “The UK and Ireland’s premier logistics

and transport show continues to grow from strength to strength,

with more opportunities than ever before to network, source new

business opportunities, and learn from the experts.

“Leading logistics suppliers and buyers have already expressed

interest in our 2018 exhibition, and we are looking forward to

another great Show.”

So next year’s Multimodal will take place at the NEC from1st to 3rd

May 2018, with the Awards, again at the Vox Conference Centre, on

the evening of the first day.

Multimodal Award in the 3PL of the Year category for its UK operation. As pictured

here, Rebekah Kemp, DSV Road Ltd’s Strategic Sales Director, and Chris Malyon, their

Sales &Marketing Director, went up to receive the Award. He commented: “We are

delighted to receive this year’s FTAMultimodal Award for 3PL of the Year on behalf
