Mobile wireless provider YRoam has launched in the UK,
aiming to slash the cost of roaming for mobile users in more
than 100 countries worldwide. The Prescot, Merseyside,
based company’s first product to come to market is the YR4 – a
portable device that connects to local 3G and 4G networks to
create a secure, personal wi-fi hotspot.
YRoamusespatentedCloudSIMtechnology to locate local networks
that offer the most affordable rates and the best possible network
signal, giving users a portable wi-fi connection at a fraction of the
cost that would otherwise be spent on data roaming.
Matt Agrimi, Managing Partner at YRoam, comments: “In 2017,
being connected to the Internet should not be an expensive luxury.
We are committed to providing low-cost 4G and 3G data services
across the globe using cloud technology and will be working with
businesses to ensure that their staff can safely and securely get
online whilst on the road.”
YRoam works in over 100 countries and is not locked into a
specific network. The user can therefore benefit from the optimum
connection available, without paying premium rates.
This makes the device perfect for businesses and business users
by providing a more convenient way to stay connected, boosting
productivity and eliminating the risk of unexpectedly high bills for
data roaming.
The YR4 hotspot can connect up to five individual devices at the
same time and doubles as a power bank, to ensure that users never
run out of battery.
