Quartix has been identified in

the London Stock Exchange

Group’s “1000 Companies

to Inspire Britain” report for

the third year in succession

The report is a celebration

of the UK’s fastest-growing

and most dynamic, small and

medium-sized

businesses

across the UK. To be included

in the list, companies needed

to show consistent revenue

growth over a minimum of

three years, significantly outperforming their industry peers.

Founded in 2001, Quartix operates in the UK, France and the USA.

Over 9500 fleet customers and 12 major insurance programmes

use Quartix’s telematics technology, which was designed and

developed in house. The system is easy-to-use and Internet-based,

offering a wealth of features to cater for fleet management or

individual needs. Quartix now installs a vehicle tracking unit every

one-and-a-half minutes of the working day, with over 300,000

units installed to date.

Quartix floated on the Alternative InvestmentMarket (AIM) in 2014

and has made substantial and significant progress from day one.

A Director of Quartix and one of its founders – Andy Kirk (pictured

here) – emphasised: “It was a great achievement to have been

recognised as one of the ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ for

the third consecutive year. It is testament to the hard work and

dedication of our teams at every level. At Quartix we are all about

creating robust, innovative products, supporting our customers

and looking after our staff. Everything else flows from that.”

Xavier Rolet, Chief Executive of the London Stock Exchange Group,

explained: “Four years on, LSEG’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire

Britain’ report continues to highlight the dynamic, entrepreneurial

and ambitious businesses across the country that are boosting

UK productivity, driving economic growth and creating jobs. We

must ensure we continue doing all we can to support high growth

potential businesses like these.”

Greg Clark, Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial

Strategy, declared: “I want to congratulate the 1000 companies

from across the UK featured in the London Stock Exchange

Group’s pioneering ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ report.

Championing high-growth, innovative SMEs is crucial for the

continued success of the UK economy.”

Mobile wireless provider YRoam has launched in the UK,

aiming to slash the cost of roaming for mobile users in more

than 100 countries worldwide. The Prescot, Merseyside,

based company’s first product to come to market is the YR4 – a

portable device that connects to local 3G and 4G networks to

create a secure, personal wi-fi hotspot.

YRoamusespatentedCloudSIMtechnology to locate local networks

that offer the most affordable rates and the best possible network

signal, giving users a portable wi-fi connection at a fraction of the

cost that would otherwise be spent on data roaming.

Matt Agrimi, Managing Partner at YRoam, comments: “In 2017,

being connected to the Internet should not be an expensive luxury.

We are committed to providing low-cost 4G and 3G data services

across the globe using cloud technology and will be working with

businesses to ensure that their staff can safely and securely get

online whilst on the road.”

YRoam works in over 100 countries and is not locked into a

specific network. The user can therefore benefit from the optimum

connection available, without paying premium rates.

This makes the device perfect for businesses and business users

by providing a more convenient way to stay connected, boosting

productivity and eliminating the risk of unexpectedly high bills for

data roaming.

The YR4 hotspot can connect up to five individual devices at the

same time and doubles as a power bank, to ensure that users never

run out of battery.
