BluJay Solutions – the new name for
Kewill – is a world-class provider of
supply chain software and services. Its
newest customer is the international
Danish transportation and logistics
operator Leman, who will implement
BluJay’s Customs Management solution.
Leman has 25 offices in six countries and
partners in more than 100 countries.
The company employs some 700 staff
in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland,
England and USA. It has at its disposal
72,000m

of terminal and logistics
facilities and a worldwide network of
agents, with 200 independent import and
export routes.
A global solution was required to manage
compliance and customs declarations for
international customs regimes. Leman
considered three solutions providers,
selecting BluJay for its single interface as
well as experience and expertise in customs
and compliance.
BluJay Solutions’ Customs Management
is an SaaS-based, multi-country, customs
compliance software solution. Declarations
are filed and notifications from customs
authorities are received electronically
using a single solution in the same format
regardless of destination.

The Culina Group has announced an
agreement to enter into a joint venture
with Morgan McLernon Transport of
Lurgan, Co Armagh. The joint venture
is regarded as a logical extension of the
strong existing partnership between
Morgan McLernon and the Culina Group
business CML Fulfilment & Logistics of
Halesfield, Telford.
Thomas van Mourik, Chief Executive of
the Culina Group, comments on the joint
venture: “Morgan McLernon and CML
have been working superbly well together
now for several years, and it really was the
logical next step for both businesses. It’s an
excellent fit, which is going to provide great
opportunities for staff and clients on both
sides of the Irish Sea.
“This move significantly expands the
geographical reach of our network. We
are acquiring some excellent contracts,
a superb facility at Lurgan and a brilliant
team of people.”
Morgan McLernon specialises in ambient,
chilled and frozen distribution across the
UK and Ireland, as well as frozen, chilled
and ambient storage and blast freezing.
Operating since 1970, the company has
been transporting perishable foodstuffs
such as fruit, vegetables and meat for over
forty years. It is a major player in the Irish
logistics marketplace, running 200 trucks
and 500 trailers and employing more than
550 staff.
