Amongst the ever-growing number of fleet management
dashcams available for trucks and vans are so many new and
unfamiliar brand names that you need toweigh up the features
indetail. Here is anexample. Having launched in theUK in2014,
fast-growing international dashcam specialists Thinkware
from Korea unveiled their new F800 dashcam FHD front and
rear cameras at this year’s CV Show.
The F800 dashcam incorporates Super Night Vision 2.0 combined
with time lapse photography. Super Night Vision 2.0 provides
enhanced night vision when driving, as well as even greater
sensitivity when parked: meanwhile time lapse photography can
record two frames per second for parking surveillance.
Equally interesting is Thinkware’s new F100 premium dual-
channel dashcam for front and rear recording – promoted as an
affordable option for drivers of commercial vehicles with no back
window.
With its 1080p Sony Exmor CMOS sensor FHD front and 720p
HD rear cameras, the F100 films inside the vehicle, while the
waterproof camera option captures any incidents at the rear. Like
all Thinkware dashcams, it offers a full suite of recording modes,
including continuous recording, incident recording, manual
recording, audio recording and parking surveillance recording.
It also features safety camera alertswhen connected to the external
GPS antenna, providing drivers with regularly updated information
on verified speed and redlight camera locations and known mobile
speedtraps.
