Throughout the UK, giraffes, dolphins, penguins, bears, birds
and cheetahs, to name but a few, are creating a real stir on the
roads and motorways of the UK, particularly in jams – after all,
how often have you been stuck behind a giraffe on the M6, or a
dolphin on the A5?
From JohnO’Groats to Lands End, UPNmembers are fully exploiting
the powerful potential of the new UPN member livery initiative.
The high-impact UPN animal livery is expanding across the UK in
2017 at a considerable pace. The powerful new livery programme
has been driven hard by UPN members wise to the impact of the
UPN animal imagery to boost awareness and interest in their own
businesses.
“It really is proving to be a fantastic example of everything that is
the best about UPN – initiative, collaboration and positive energy,”
asserts the company’s Managing Director Dave Brown, “and indeed
with great ideas like this one we can only grow ‘stronger together’!”
It all started with a bright idea from UPN member Ningbo
Distribution. Chris Stockton, Ningbo’s owner and founder, was
looking for an innovative method of making his pallet delivery
service stand out more and boosting awareness for his business in
the local area.
He certainly achieved it with his ground-breaking giraffe rear-door
livery. Launched at the end of last year, the new animal livery idea
achieved high impact and a major talking-point, both internally
and externally and indeed out on the road.
So much so in fact that UPN embraced the idea centrally and took
it out to the full UPN membership with unexpectedly big results.
“What an example of team UPN in action,” said Dave Brown,
“a brilliant creative idea to link our local and national
businesses in a way that boosts impact and
awareness for us all, and one that really does
look astounding on the road.”

The Wolverhampton-based pallet network Pallet-Track
is supporting WellChild as its 2017 charity partner. The
announcement follows last year’s undoubted success, which
saw Pallet-Track raise £11,000 for the Sick Children’s Trust, a
charity that provided invaluable support to network member
Roy Dowen’s grandson and his family whilst hewas being cared
for at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
This year Pallet-Track is organising and hosting a number of
fundraising activities to raise money for WellChild, whose patron
is Prince Harry: it gives much-needed support to families with
children living with serious illnesses or complex care needs across
the UK.
This ranges from a network of WellChild Children’s Nurses, who
provide vital home care, to undertaking essential home and
garden improvements to create a more practical and appropriate
environment.
