UPN strengthens its quality Pallet Network

with two important newmembers

TWC Logistics - Lombard Shipping PLC

UPN is further strengthening its high quality UK Pallet

Network with the announcement of two important new

members – TWC Logistics, and Lombard Shipping PLC - Both

bring with them solid reputations for reliability and service

excellence

Established in 2004, TWC Logistics also work with APC Overnight

andWhistl to provide a comprehensive portfolio of delivery services

including post, parcel, sameday and international options.

“We’re building a strong local business here at TWC, with a full

range of high quality support services for businesses in our area,”

said Managing Director – Andy Crockett,

“We have been impressed by UPN and its friendly professional

approach. We are really looking forward to developing our pallet

freight business through its network.”

Shrewsbury based TWC Logistics is handling TF and SY postcodes

for UPN.

Also joining UPN is Lombard Shipping PLC, headquartered in

Ipswich with operating centres in Belfast, Dublin, Liverpool,

Huddersfield and Norwich.

Lombard Shipping PLC will be handling partial IP postcodes for

UPN.

“It’s already proving to be a landmark year for UPN,” commented

announced the signing of the lease for our new hub to take us to

2030, so far in 2019 we’ve brought in four really excellent new

members to further boost the quality of our network.”

Staff at Caledonian Logistics are in a

triumphant mood after celebrating its

20th year in business. Founded in 1999

by the now managing director, Derek

Mitchell, Caledonian Logistics has grown

significantly over the past two decades

from a start-up to one that now employs

more than 140 members of staff across

three depots in Aberdeen, Cumbernauld

and Inverness.

Commenting, Derek said: “Across the three

depots, we started off handling around 600

pallets per month but now move closer to

12,000. To date, we’ve handled more than

one million pallets for Palletways. This is a

huge milestone and, over that time, we’ve

seen many changes within the industry

including new electronic data and portal

services.We’vemanaged toovercome every

challenge with the support of our members

of staff and I’m excited to see what the next

20 years holds for everyone at Caledonian.”
