New CEO & CCO for
Palletways
Palletways Group Limited, which
operates
Europe’s
largest
pallet
network,
has
announced
the
retirement
of
its
current
Chief
Executive Officer, James Wilson, on
1st July 2019.
Wilson’s place will be taken by Palletways
Chief Operating Officer, Luis Zubialde,
who has worked at the company
since 2006. Wilson will continue as a
consultant to the company, and to its
owner Imperial Logistics International.
Says Imperial Logistics International CEO Hakan Bicil: “We would
like to thank James Wilson for his long-standing service and
commitment, and the pioneering work that he has undertaken for
the Palletways Group. We wish hima very happy andwell-deserved
retirement, and I am delighted that we shall still be able to call
upon his extensive knowledge and experience in the future.”
Michael Sterk has also been appointed to the newly-created post
of Chief Commercial Officer of the Palletways Group, effective
1st July 2019. Sterk has worked for Imperial Logistics since 2009,
most recently as Director Business Unit Retail & Consumer Goods.
He will report both to Palletways CEO Luis Zubialde and to Imperial
Logistics International Chief Commercial Officer Sandro Knecht.
The new Palletways Group executive board will comprise Luis
Zubialde (CEO), Richard Myatt (who remains as Chief Financial
Officer), Thomas Olsson (who remains as Chief Information Officer)
and Michael Sterk (CCO).

Baxter Freight boosts teamwith six new starters
Nottingham-based logistics firm Baxter Freight has appointed
six new starters to strengthen its team and support its long-
term strategy for growth.
Shella Galminaite, Amiel King and Nuno Santos have joined the
customer service-driven logistics provider as account managers,
RyenneRiveralandRachaelBurdisastraineefinanceadministrators
while Mick Glenny has taken on the role of domestic operator.
Baxter Freight, which has its head office in Lenton, was set up in
2014 and now employs more than 70 people. It operates daily
services covering all the main commercial centres in continental
Europe and the Nordic region, as well as thriving domestic and
overseas divisions.
Lorraine Sutcliffe, HR manager at Baxter Freight, said: “We’re
delighted to welcome Shella, Amiel, Nuno, Rachael, Ryenne and
Mick to the team. Each person brings a unique skillset to their
interesting mix of positions spanning from client liaison to supplier
handling.
“Here at Baxter Freight, we’re committed to investing in training,
mentoring and support so I have no doubt they will thrive in their
new roles. We are still on the lookout for people who are passionate
about their career progression and want to join a company that

Shella, account manager at Baxter Freight, has worked in sales for
more than three years but logistics is a new area for her. She said:
“Freight is a new industry for me but it’s one that I’m really excited
to learn more about, particularly as the number of businesses that
need transportation is astonishing.
“I really enjoy building relationships with customers and learning
not only about their industries, but also howto solve their problems.
Baxter Freight therefore seemed like the perfect fit.”
After graduating with a degree in business management from the
University of Derby, trainee finance administrator Ryenne was keen
to join a dynamic company to apply and expand the knowledge she
gained during her studies.
She added: “I was attracted to Baxter Freight because of the
company’s training and mentoring offering, which will allowme to
progress within a fast-moving business. The company really looks
after its staff and I feel like I can forge a career here. I look forward to
kickstarting my journey with Baxter Freight.”
