Coach operator ‘up to the Marque’
with TruTac CPT Tacho Analysis
Stanley Travel, the County Durham-based PSV operator, reports
improved driver monitoring and tighter compliance control
since switching to CPT Tacho Analysis.
The long-established family-run firm holds two prestigious
accreditations, Coach Marque - awarded by the Confederation of
Passenger Transport and Earned Recognition – awarded by DVSA.
Stanley Travel provides a wide range of coach services locally and
throughout the UK, all of which benefit from CPT Tacho Analysis
software - installed three years ago.
Developed by compliance software leaders TruTac in partnership
with the CPT, CPT Tacho Analysis includes complete web-based,
instant digital and analogue tachograph analysis which is fully
Earned Recognition-accredited and supports EU and GB Domestic
Drivers’ Hours & Rest Time Rules (including WTD).
The cloud-based system seamlessly integrates with all remote
downloading options and provides instant access to clear and
concise compliance data, includingmanager and driver dashboards
with KPI reporting. This allows Stanley Travel to make comparisons
against UK infringement levels – a key consideration when
satisfying their ER (Earned Recognition) criteria and as Director,
Andrew Scott points out, one of the main reasons Stanley Travel
selected the system is because it’s fully compatible with DVLA’s ER
scheme.
“We are one of only a handful of PCV operators that hold ER status
and are also one of the founder members.” he says.
He further explains about some of the benefits the system has
brought to the operation:
“From day trips and group travel to corporate bookings and the
school run, every coach journey must run like clockwork – not only
from a customer satisfaction point of view but also in terms of
efficient and legal operations. CPT Tacho Analysis plays amajor part
in achieving this, both through tighter control of key information
and in terms of driver debriefing and journey planning.”
Furthermore, using the CPT Daily Checks Driver app, Stanley Travel
drivers can monitor all their own tachograph information daily.
Transport Managers can access the system from each depot and
provide guidance or disciplinary action, as and when needed. This
process enables compliance issues to be identified whilst activities
are still fresh in drivers’ minds. The automatically emailed reports
are then stored in each driver’s main HR file.
The driver debriefing module also enables drivers to log on to their
own area of the systemto view their duties, daily rest status, earliest
next duty start and other compliance data.
“CPT Tacho Analysis was easy to install and is simple to use.” Adds
Andrew Scott. “The system is a superb management tool, helps
to reduce infringements and cuts the overall risk of inadvertently
breaching tachograph and drivers’ hours rules. We don’t expect a
DVSA inspection any time soon, but while using this transparent
system, we certainly have nothing to hide!”
TruTac, theUK’s largest independent compliance software company,
has also developed two other software modules in partnership
with the CPT: CPT Daily Checks – an easy-to-use App which covers
first use and all daily driver vehicle checks, with CPT-approved
templates and CPT Licence Check which enables online verification
checks on UK driving licences and CPC information for compliance
and insurance. TruTac also offers free data storage and upgrades.
For further details of CPT Tacho Analysis, CPT Daily Checks and
CPT Licence Check, including discounted pricing, operators
should contact their CPT local area manager or contact TruTac on
