Talent in Logistics 2019
to be bigger than ever
Now in its third year, the Talent in Logistics annual event is back
with a range of newadditions and updates tomake it themust-
visit event for HR, L&D and Operational professionals within
the logistics industry.
This event is the only one of its kind dedicated to the recruitment,
development, engagement and retention of the 2.2million+ people
working in transport, warehousing and logistics across the UK and
Ireland.
For its third anniversary, the event will be hosted at a new venue;
Marshall Arena (formally Arena MK), Milton Keynes on 27th June
2019. Three theatres; Attract, Develop and Engage will host a
number of panel discussions, seminars and Q&A sessions.
2019 is expected to attract hundreds of delegates who will gather
to listen and discuss the latest insights from across the industry
and share best practice. The event will thereby create the ideal
development opportunity for both organisations and individuals
within our industry.
The daytime event will also host the ever-popular live grand final
of the Forklift Operator of the Year which is being sponsored for
the third year in succession by lift truck manufacturer UniCarriers.
Speakingatthe2018eventChrisBates,SalesDirectoratUniCarriers
confirmed that they are committed to such a vibrant event that
engages with industry employers, encourages collaboration and
celebrates talented lift truck operators, whilst not forgetting
the ever-important safety messages that comes with lift truck
operation. The competition finalists are put through their paces
with a number of interactive challenges to demonstrate skill and
safety through both technical knowledge and practical lift truck
operation. New to 2019’s line up will be the LGV Driver of the Year
Award which will celebrate drivers who are the face of our industry
andwill include online nomination, live heats and a live grand final.
Leading into the evening will be the Talent in Logistics Annual
Awards held at the Hilton Doubletree in Milton Keynes and will
showcase and celebrate the huge range of talent across the
industry. The upcoming awards include a number of newcategories
that include not only stand-out individuals, but the teams and
their strategies that have gone above and beyond and made a real
difference within our industry. All categories will be announced
shortly, and entry will open on 7th January 2019.
