SAFETY & SECURITY

The second addition to the Vision UK product portfolio has

been designed to meet the rigours of vehicles operating in the

construction industry and other challenging and hostile working

environments.

The all new ALA-55 is a robust and reliable multi-frequency

reversing alarm that features a full metal housing and compression

lock cable entry gland to provide maximum resistance to impact

damage and over aggressive cleaning.

Furthermore, as construction site delivery vehicles are often

operating within urban locations in the very early morning, this

alarm also features Night Quiet and Night Silent override modes

that effectively minimise noise levels for local residents.

Meeting all requirements of the FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition

Scheme) andCLOCS (Construction Logistics andCommunity Safety)

accreditation initiatives, the ALA-55 also incorporates a fully sealed

avionic connector to prevent water ingress through the connector.

The first newcomer is a versatile camera that has been specifically

designed to optimise safety on vehicles that support home delivery

or high street delivery operations. In these situations, and for

drivers who require excellent illumination to work safely around

their vehicles at night, the new HDC-6000 Integrated Camera and

Worklight is a high-performance and reliable system.

Comprising six integrated CREE White LEDs providing an output of

9000 lumens, the system can be activated by a switch for manual

operationandcanbeconnectedtothereverselightcircuittoprovide

maximum visibility when reversing. For maximum versatility, the

new camera and worklight system can be supplied with either

a 600TVL CCD camera or a 720P AHD camera. Importantly, as an

additional safety feature, the selected camera may also be simply

integrated with high level brake lights.

In instances where the camera is required to be fitted to the side

of a vehicle - for example, as part of 360

o

vision system or for

monitoring a side door - amber lenses can be fitted and interfaced

with hazard flashers. As standard, the camera is supplied with a

150

o

degree viewing angle but camera lenses are readily available

to suit different requirements.

Although designed for use with Vision Monitors and DVR Systems,

the new camera and worklight can be connected to, and used

in conjunction with, most alternative systems thereby further

enhancing flexibility and practicality.
