takes time and finding people with market experience is becoming
increasingly difficult. The system is not designed to de-skill the role
of parts identification - it is designed to assist where traditional
knowledge is no longer availablewhilst, at the same time, providing
a more accurate and speedy way of working when dealing with
customer enquiries. With customers increasingly asking for TTC’s
help in this area, we have identified a real knowledge gap with our
Technical team increasingly being called upon to assist customers
with their enquiries.
The CVRN® system addresses this perfectly. By entering a Truck’s
registration number into TTC’s own online order system to view the
parts, users can instantly see live stock availability, price and many
other product attributes. Placing an order is therefore merely a few
clicks away. Even if the Truck registration number is not available,
our search facility provides another route for users providing access
to TTC’s extensive database which covers nearly 750,000 cross
references.
Is there space for both resources and will
TTC’s Edition 20 possibly be the last?
Well, it’s not finished just yet and, with Edition 20 currently being
distributed across the commercial vehicle market, there clearly is
still a need with our teamworking hard to keep pace with demand.
With TTC’s extensive range of Trailer Components, it’s clear to see
that the CVRN® system and TTC’s parts catalogue provide two
complementary and innovative solutions. By utilising the benefits
of each, we ensure that accurate parts identification for both Trucks
and Trailers is well and truly covered.
What’s next for TTC?
Wehavesomenewandexcitingproductstobringtomarketthisyear
with some additional OE partner brands lined up to complement
our existing range. We are increasingly finding that suppliers are
recognising the value we can add to the parts market. Importantly,
with our latest CVRN® Truck catalogue, they are seeing the benefits
and how, by working together, we can ensure that quality products
prevail in our parts market.
This Spring is an exciting time for us as we see the first of our new
delivery vehicles enter into service carrying our brand and our parts.
Our newFleet will be seen across the country delivering parts to our
customers when they need them. Parts availability and service,
and therefore logistics, is a key area for us and one that we work
very closely on with our distribution partners. Having a number of
Trucks & Trailers carrying our brand is an exciting and proud time
within TTC. As a company, we are committed to the continual
development, improvement and expansion of our services in the
supply of commercial vehicle parts for many years to come.
