Aspöck Systems – The Art of Lights
The new ASPÖCK ECOLED II sets a new standard for rear lights on trucks and trailers. With clear design in its lighting solutions and new technological visions shaping the history of the company on an international scale for over 40 years. Through current expansions to the production and administrative areas in Austria and Poland, the family-owned company guarantees consistent high quality for its customers and secure positions for its employees.
NEW: ECOLED II – more safety through even more visibility
A large light area, uniform light pattern plus a dynamic indicator with a sequential light – thanks to this ASPÖCK upgrade, none of the predecessor models can measure up to the new ECOLED II rear lamp.
The directional indicator is monitored in accordance with ISO 13207-1. The interchangeable lens can be used for the left and right lamp, which likewise applies to the entire rear lamp when turned 180 degrees.
If the rear side area is damaged, only the mounting bracket, which connects the rear lamp to the end outline marker arm, breaks at the provided breaking point. The rear lamp remains undamaged. This ensures that repair is affordable because only the broken mounting bracket has to be replaced. The physically resilient rear lamp that is resistant to moisture, UV radiation and chemical effects also features a low design height and can be used in the voltage range of 12 to 24 volts.
Development and production network
The ASPÖCK Group is represented at strategic locations in Europe, South America and Asia. These locations form a well-organised sales and service network that guarantees the best customer service. There are two categories of ASPÖCK subsidiaries, production locations and sales subsidiaries. The strategic hub is still the Austrian location, where lighting solutions are designed, produced and tested for vehicles. ASPÖCK has almost 400 employees here, making it one of the global players in this region.
The new office and administrative building fosters and will continue to foster the differing abilities of its employees, freeing up more space for a passion for light and a high level of technical expertise.
Aspöck Systems is also expanding its product portfolio by developing and investing in novel LED socketing and encapsulation technologies, e.g. LED strips. Innovative linear lighting systems with high IP protection classes are manufactured at the Austria location. A building expansion was required to be able to produce these high-quality LED strips. As such, in conjunction with the segment expansion, ASPÖCK can achieve wider market coverage and present itself to a wider audience.
ASPÖCK Automotive Poland opens expanded location
Since 2006, Aspöck Systems has been an international partner to the automotive industry. In 2015, the production location in Poland was completed to efficiently serve the Automotive segment and fulfil the high expectations of automakers. The expansion at the business location in Kluczbork now has the necessary space for further development, new machines and the introduction of another production line.
ASPÖCK Automotive Poland currently has 170 employees. The new building is connected to the production hall and, in addition to offices, conference rooms, social areas for employees and an archive, also houses a lab with a test workshop. Thanks to the new building of over 1000 square metres, employees at the Poland location are equipped for the future. The number of employees is trending upwards, and there are expected to be 250 employees who will work in a three-shift model in the production area.
The subsidiary in Kluczbork produces the rear lamps for Volkswagen Crafter and Caddy vans. Audi is also an important customer. “We produce more than a million third stop lights for this automotive manufacturer,” reports Karl Aspöck, CEO of the ASPÖCK Group and Owner of ASPÖCK Automotive Poland.
Sustainable growth is the basis of pioneering developments. Thanks to these and other capacity expansions, the ASPÖCK Group is ideally prepared for new projects and developments.
