Roger Warnes Transport Ltd is a bulk haulier based in King’s Lynn with a modern fleet of over 100 vehicles and trailers.
Ben Warnes, Technical Director and his directors were at the 2017 CV show when they came across the TDi stand.
As Ben explains, “we were not in the market for a new traffic management system, however after a demonstration it was clear we had to have TransMaS.”
It was only when they saw the demonstration of the TransMaS system from TDi that Roger Warnes Transport Ltd realised that the system they were currently using didn’t offer enough visibility and control over the fleet.
Following the show TDi arranged for an extended, onsite demonstration of the TransMaS system for the Roger Warnes Transport Ltd management team. This demonstration focussed on the drag and drop functionality, sign on glass (e-signature), comprehensive invoicing and the added benefit of TransMaS being cloud based not client based.
Only a week later TDi was able to arrange a second onsite demonstration for the transport operators. This enabled the team that would actually be using the system to freely ask any questions they wished. This process ensured that the TransMaS system would work not only for them, but would give them increased functionality compared to the old system. It was this demonstration that convinced Roger Warnes Transport Ltd that they needed to move to the TransMaS system from TDi.
Changing systems proved to be easier than expected. TDi was able to import many of the databases to help which dramatically reduced the setup time for the TransMaS system. TDi also has their own dedicated in-house development team which means that any teething issues can be dealt with quickly and efficiently.
The TransMaS system has proved to be a huge success for Roger Warnes Transport Ltd. Ben said of the change, “TransMaS is a big jump up in price from our previous software but it is worth every penny. We have much better visibility and control over our whole fleet. TransMaS is light years ahead of any other TMS we have looked at and with continuous development we look forward to seeing where they take it next.”
