Truck and Track Autumn 2021
www.truckandtrack.com Autumn 2021 Truck and Track 37 PALLET NETWORKS BR: What levels of stock are you able to sustain? What does this mean in terms of delivery dates? AW: Such is the demand for our trucks that we are currently unable to fulfil the demand. So far, all trucks ordered have been sold before arrival at our facility and current global challenges are hindering our progress. We have budgeted for substantial stock holdings but it never arises as our sales are high and rising all the time. We advise our distributors to reserve products prior to arrival as we have seen disappointment when they realise that current delivery periods are unprecedented. BR: What significant innovations are on the horizon for the materials handling industry? AW: I anticipate that power sources will lead the innovation charge. LiFePo4 powered forklifts are getting bigger and offering higher capacities. They will shortly be available up to 10,000kg capacity coupled with even larger battery packs giving longer operation and even faster charging options. I’m certainly not alone in expecting diesel and LPG trucks to be replaced by greener alternatives BR: What type of financial packages are you able to offer? AW: Currently, we’re offering a stocking plan to our dealers in conjunction with DF Capital which is a specialist bank offering commercial finance products to UK SME businesses. BR: Do the warranties on the equipment you supply differ from model to model? AW: All our forklift trucks are covered by a three year warranty and five years on the batteries. BR: Where will Handling Equipment UK be in 10 or 20 years’ time? AW: We’re already an established player in the marketplace supplying OMB’s and corporations but these new EP trucks are offering a quality product at an incredible price point. This has already driven strong sales and we’re moving from market disruptor to market driver. As EP Equipment innovates we, as a premium importing distributor, see strong growth over the long term driving efficiencies, reducing costs and emissions thereby helping to benefit the global environment. www.handlingequipment.co.uk www.HandlingEquipment.co.uk ZERO EMISSIONS - Great for the environment especially with the UK’s commitment to become carbon neutral ZERO BATTERY MAINTENANCE - No problems with topping up or overcharging.
