VRUD-140V Blind Spot Pedestrian Camera This Vision Blind Spot Detection Camera is specifically designed to meet the requirements of the TfL PSIS Technical Requirements. This camera works in extremely low light conditions and features a long range that can detect Vulnerable Road Users (VRU’s) moving at speed along the side of the vehicle. The target acquisition time is extremely fast, warning drivers of even the fastest approaching cyclists before they put themselves in a high-risk position. This camera has the widest detection angle of our VRUD Cameras and, on some vehicles, may be located to cover the whole length of the vehicle. The camera not only detects pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists, but also warns the driver of VRU’s filtering between traffic. This camera does not rely on movement (doppler effect) to detect a VRU, so keeps the driver aware of pedestrians or slowmoving cyclists around the vehicle and does not pick up other vehicles. Remote Access, LiveView, Alerts and Video Retrieval Increasingly, Vision DVRs are being supplied with 4G modems to enable remote access to the system. This technology also provides a range of features that enable customers to achieve the maximum benefit from their systems.
