Truck and Track Spring 2026 www.truckandtrack.com 68 MULTIMODAL 2026 For organisations focused on sustainability, Multimodal also provides valuable insight into how logistics can adapt to meet environmental goals. Decarbonisation is a major priority across the industry, and the event showcases initiatives aimed at reducing emissions, improving fuel efficiency, and exploring alternative transport methods. Visitors can learn about greener shipping options, modal shift strategies, and technologies designed to reduce environmental impact across supply chains. In addition to the exhibition and conference programme, Multimodal is also known for its vibrant social programme, which offers further opportunities to connect with peers and celebrate success across the logistics sector. A highlight of the event is the prestigious Multimodal Awards evening, one of the most anticipated nights in the industry calendar. The awards recognise excellence across the supply chain, celebrating companies, individuals and innovations that are making a significant impact in the logistics sector. This year’s awards promise to be particularly memorable, with renowned comedian and impressionist Rory Bremner hosting the evening. Known for his sharp wit and political satire, Bremner brings energy and humour to the event, ensuring a night that is both entertaining and memorable for attendees. The celebrations begin with a pre-drinks reception, sponsored by CNS Ltd, giving guests the opportunity to network and catch up with colleagues before the formal awards ceremony begins. It’s a relaxed and welcoming environment where conversations flow easily and connections are strengthened ahead of the evening’s festivities. Following the awards presentation and dinner, the celebrations continue with an after-party, sponsored by ID Logistics, allowing guests to unwind at the fun casino, keep conversations flowing, celebrate the winners, and enjoy the company of peers from across the logistics community. Sounds will be supplied by well-known industry personality, Ian Gill of Vanguard Logistics. These social moments often create lasting memories and reinforce the strong sense of community within the industry. There’s still time to enter the Multimodal Awards: the categories for nomination are Rail Freight Company, Road Freight Company, Air Freight Company, Sea Freight Company, Port Company, and 3PL of the Year. The written Awards are also open for entries until 27th April with finalists being announced on 4th May when the entries will be sent off to the independent panel of judges for their expert review. Submissions for the written Awards are welcome in these categories: Best Warehouse Operation, Customs Technology Partner, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Company, Best Technology Company, Shipper/ Partner of the Year, Sustainability Company and Young Logistics Professional. All Award Winners will be announced at the Multimodal 2026 Awards evening being held at the stunning VOX Centre on the NEC estate on the evening of 30th June.
