Truck and Track Spring 2024 Spring 2024 Truck and Track 73 MULTIMODAL 2024 Following its most successful year yet, Multimodal 2024 is well on the way to bring a record-breaking number of supply chain industry leaders together at Birmingham’s NEC over a three-day event. Taking place on 11th-13th June, the event will feature its largest exhibition yet, a sell-out awards dinner and a comprehensive conference programme with highly regarded industry speakers. In its 17th year, Multimodal attracts shippers and cargo owners to the free-to-attend show to improve their businesses by finding ways of moving their products more efficiently and by meeting new suppliers. Once again, a key focus for this year’s Multimodal show is sustainability within the industry, where global logistics emissions are set to increase 42% by 2050 making it the highest emitting sector by 2050, if nothing changes now. The recent COP28 Climate Summit, in December 2023, saw industry leaders come together to highlight the critical nature of climate change, and the alterations that the supply chain sector must make to meet the Paris Agreement goals of being net zero by 2050. Visitors attend Multimodal to discover new routes and methods that can make their supply chains more sustainable, more cost effective and to find solutions to solve their transport and logistics issues. Hosting every logistics sector, Multimodal offers a unique opportunity to make valuable face-to-face contact with new prospects and to network with existing suppliers. The 2023 Show attracted over 12,000 visitors, and this year’s registrations are around 40% up which suggests a very engaging three days in store for all attendees.
