www.truckandtrack.com Autumn 2026 Truck and Track 49 SAFETY & SECURITY Progressive Safe System and MOIS (Moving Off Information Service). The most popular product offered in Vision UK’s range is the Progressive Safe System, suited to construction vehicles, which not only meets the requirements of the TfL Progressive Safe System but also the criteria for the FORS “Gold” VRUD (Vulnerable Road Users). This system provides 360 degrees of detection, featuring a robust 7” monitor and “High Definition” cameras which give superior levels of durability and clear images. As this system gives 360 degrees of detection it also meets the requirements of MOIS and Blind Spot Detection which are all elements of the Progressive Safe System. Upgrading FORS “Silver” PSS If you have an early system which at the time was compliant with the FORS “Silver” it can be upgraded to comply with the current PSS requirements by adding the following items from the Vision UK products: ■ M-73Q HD Monitor ■ SC-720A BSD Side Camera x 2 ■ MOIS BSD Front Camera ■ GPS-SUP1 Speed Control Module ■ AV Leads ■ VRUD-140V Blind Spot Pedestrian Camera This Blind Spot Detection Camera from Vision UK works in low light conditions and has long- range capability to detect VRU’s moving at speed along the side of the vehicle and gives a rapid warning indicating that a VRU is moving into a high- risk area even if they are filtering through the traffic. The VRUD-140V camera has an enhanced detection angle and can be positioned to view down the whole length of the vehicle. Other benefits from the Vision Equipment Vision’s DVR’s with 4G modems permit remote access to the system to view both real time monitoring or retrieving stored information. This can show driver reports such as route deviation, speeding, fatigue and times entering or leaving sites or times when the vehicle is stationary. This is a useful tool for keeping updates on out based vehicles. The system will also flag up faults such as reporting any network issues or a camera malfunction. Some insurance companies may even give a discount on their premiums when Vision safety equipment is fitted to your vehicle. Your Choice Vision UK have a very comprehensive web site where you can view the entire range of equipment, they have available. The site also gives you access to their useful configurator function. The configurator will guide you through the various options that will be suited to your own specific operation.
