The VRUD-140V camera also benefits with an enhanced detection angle and can be positioned to view the whole length of the vehicle. The camera does not rely on movement to actuate it but allows the driver to monitor pedestrians or slow-moving cyclists and doesn’t pick up other vehicles. ADDITIONAL BENEFITS OF THE VISION SYSTEM Uptake of Vision’s DVR’s with 4G modems allows remote access to the system to gather valuable information in both real time monitoring and via stored data retrieval. Driver reports will show such information as route deviation, speeding, fatigue and recording times of site entry and exit or periods when the vehicle is stationary. The system will also flag up any faults that may occur. It should be noted that some insurance companies will give a discount on their premiums when the Vision safety equipment is installed on your vehicle. Installation can be carried out by the bodybuilder or by one of Vision’s recognised mobile installation operators thus saving time and cost of vehicle movement.
