Truck and Track Autumn 2025

www.truckandtrack.com Autumn 2025 Truck and Track 3 FOREWORD by Barbara Ryan, Publishing Director, Truck and Track The 2025 CV Show, Multimodal and RTX Expo the main events in the industry calendar were once again a resounding success with increased visitor numbers reinforcing the importance of these gatherings for key decision makers, manufacturers and providers of services to the industry in one place. For Scottish readers RTX Scotland is scheduled for 19th-20th November at the Glasgow SEC and promises to be on par with these events. Information is easily accessed via the Internet, but this can never achieve the same results as face-toface meetings and viewing the hardware in the relaxed atmosphere of a trade show. The 2026 CV Show promises to be even better with a focus and theme: “Fuelling Change-The Route to Net Zero”. 2026 will be a challenging year for everyone striving to achieve these tough environmental challenges and still achieve profitability. Savings need to be found in all areas of operation such as fuel usage, monitoring and reporting by fuel specialist Merridale will certainly help while the purchasing and safe dispensing of AdBlue from Greenox is another item on the list! The use of recycled parts from TruckEast could also yield significant cost savings. Software technology has been a valuable tool to the logistics industry and can save time and improve efficiency if properly utilised. Providers like PTV Logistics, Descartes, tmWare and HaulTech can tailor a system to match your needs. If Cyber-crime is a worry Fargo and Descartes can provide preventative solutions. Vehicle security and safety systems are also important issues and should be part of the vehicle specification. On board camera systems by Vision UK give the driver reassurance in heavy traffic areas while secure locking and monitoring of cargo doors can be assured by fitting a Unisto security seal. Specialist organisations can have a benefit to grow your business. If you are hauling or shipping containers Boxhaul is a company to align with or if you are focused on delivering palletised freight join UPN. Acquiring assets and financing them can be a challenge but expertise from Allports Group or Alltruck can provide the right equipment for your operation. CBF is the leading supplier of body fittings and ancillary equipment to the bodybuilding industry. For drawbar equipment and rear under run protection VBG is the first choice offering an extensive range of couplings, drawbeams and chassis specific fitting kits. These kits integrate with the VBG rear under run protection devices, and all these components are fully Type Approved and create a complete easy fit package. Keeping your vehicles and trailers in a clean and compliant condition can be achieved with the installation of a Wilcomatic washing system or if you have your own workshop Totalkare can provide a solution for vehicle inspection and maintenance access. As usual, I hope you enjoy reading this latest issue of Truck and Track.
