 | Stardes, a company which provides logistics services to the entertainment industry, has added two new Schmitz Cargobull FP25 dry freight box trailers to its fleet. The trailers will be used to distribute the equipment used by individual artists and bands on tours around the UK and Europe. Their first job will be to transport instruments, costumes and production equipment required for chart-topping solo artist Mika and leading indie band Kasabian on their forthcoming European tours. | | Amsterdam port has been connected to the Betuweroute, a double track freight railway from Rotterdam to Germany originally opened by Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands in June 2007. The Betuweroute was named after the Betuwe area through which it passes, and the new extension expands Amsterdam’s railway connections to its hinterland whilst demonstrating freight trains to be an efficient, green and sustainable form of multimodal transportation. Morayshire-based Spey Bay Salvage Ltd has taken delivery of its seventh bespoke Andover trailer, this one specially designed to carry a 46-tonne screener.
The screener requires an extremely sturdy trailer with an extendable bed, meaning Spey Bay Salvage needed a bespoke trailer manufacturer – and the decision to go back to Andover Trailers was an easy one.
